Sillanrakentajat submitted party registry application — the road to becoming a registered party begins
On 19 May 2026, Sillanrakentajat ry submitted an official party registry application through the puoluerekisteri.fi service maintained by the Ministry of Justice. The application marks a significant milestone for the young political movement, which was founded just two months ago in March 2026.
Registration in the party register requires, among other things, the collection of 5,000 supporter cards as well as the submission of the party's rules and programme. Sillanrakentajat has carefully prepared the application and published a comprehensive 15-chapter party programme outlining the party's positions on the economy, education, security and other key areas of society.
The application has now been submitted and awaits processing by the Ministry of Justice. Once the application is approved, the supporter card collection phase will begin, requiring signatures from 5,000 adult Finnish citizens. We will announce separately when the collection begins.
Party registration would enable participation in elections under the party's own symbol and strengthen Sillanrakentajat's position in the Finnish political landscape. The movement emphasises long-term, values-based politics that transcends traditional left–right divides.
